NVIDIA Announces GeForce GTX 780M, GTX 770M, GTX 765M, GTX 760M Mobility Chips
NVIDIA has officially introduced new GeForce 700M series mobility chips
including the flagship GeForce GTX 780M which claims the title of the
fastest mobile chip in the world.

NVIDIA Unleashes Worlds Fastest Mobility GPU – GeForce GTX 780M
NVIDIA has launched in total four new GeForce GTX 700M chips which
include the GeForce GTX 780M, GTX 770M, GTX 765M and GTX 760M. The
GeForce GTX 780M is the flagship chip and is the only one of four that
makes use of the GK104 core architecture.
The GeForce GTX 780M features 1536 cores and a 4 GB GDDR5 memory
which pumps out 160 GB/s bandwidth. The GeForce GTX 780M operates at 823
MHz and also has GPU Boost 2.0 technology which would allow the card to
hit higher clock speeds when needed in demanding games and
applications. The memory comes at a clock rate of 5.0 GHz effective. The
GeForce GTX 780M is specifically a GTX 680MX with faster clock speeds
and GPU Boost 2.0 tech, taking this in account it should be no problem
for the card to outperform AMD’s Radeon HD 8970M gpu that was introduced a while ago.
Rest of the GPUs in the lineup are based on the GK106 core
architecture. The GeForce GTX 770M is the fastest model based on the
GK106 GPU featuring 960 cores and a 811 MHz core clock. The GTX 770M
comes with a 8GB GDDR5 memory across a 192-bit interfacewhich operates
at 4 GHz pumping out a bandwidth of 64 GB/s. The GeForce GTX 765 and GTX
760M feature 768 cores, coupled with a 2 GB GDDR5 memory across a
128-bit interface clocked at 4 GHz clock speed. The difference between
these two is the clock speed, the GTX 765M comes at 850 MHz while the
GTX 760M operates at 657 MHz. The new series come with GPU Boost 2.0
tech which would provide boosted clock frequencies under demand.
