Samsung Galaxy S5 Fingerprint Sensor to Cover Entire Screen!

As the probable date of Samsung Galaxy S5 release
comes nearer, everyone is looking forward to what new would be offered
with Samsung’s next flagship. And while we await for what’s new, seems
like Samsung might throw something quite unseen before. Expecting mind-blowing things, are we?

Samsung Galaxy S5 fingerprint sensor:

As shared before, Samsung is all set to launch Galaxy S5 this February at its Unpacked Samsung 5
event in Barcelona. While we already know (or rather speculate) about
the specs, it is the Galaxy S5 fingerprint sensor that has been catching
so many news spots lately. According to latest rumors, an inside source
from Samsung India R&D has claimed that entire display of Samsung Galaxy S5 will act as a fingerprint scanner.

These latest news come from iTechAddict who have reported that Samsung
Galaxy S5 fingerprint sensor features will be used by user by touching
anywhere on the screen. The source have also confirmed the specs earlier
shared by the popular tipster Murtazin Eldar (who had accurately predicted February 23 as Galaxy S5 release date – if unpacked 5 is going to be about SGS5.

According to iTechAddict, the insider has used the international
variant of Samsung Galaxy S5 which will be launched in India later this
year. Source also confirms that Galaxy S5 will have a new design approach. Report also claimed that the next Samsung flagship will not have any hardware keys!

Another story covered by a South Korean tech site, etNews, also backs
up iTechAddict claims. ETNews also reports that the latest fingerprint
technology from Samsung will let the users swipe anywhere on the screen
to use fingerprint features.

Samsung Galaxy S5 specs we know so far:

  • 5.24-inch AMOLED 2K display screen, 560ppi
  • Exynos 6 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processors (2 variants)
  • 3 GB of RAM
  • 32 GB / 64 GB memory
  • 16 megapixel rear camera, 3.2 megapixel front camera

Whether this report of Samsung Galaxy S5 fingerprint sensor is true
or not, from the rumors lately, it seems tangible that Samsung is trying
to deviate from its regular Galaxy S
design mechanism. From the duo with Galaxy Gear 2 to a better display,
introduction of fingerprint sensor and S Band bracelet, Samsung will
definitely make many from its fanbase happier with new design features!
